Alright, this my third review of the book "The life
changing magic of tidying up".
CHAPTER 3 “Tidying by category works like magic”
First, Clothing: place every item of clothing in the house
on the floor.
The First step is to check all the cabinets and drawers in your
house, then collect all the clothes in one place. After that, choose clothes
that you like and you can save them, if there are clothes that you don't like you
can get rid of or give to people who need it but can still be used. So that
clothes do not look piling up and the closet looks neat.
Second, Clothing storage: fold it right and solve your
storage problems
To store clothes, there are two method: first, attach it to
the hanger and second, fold it to keep it in a drawer or rack. Many people prefer
to attach clothes to hanger rather than storing it in a closet because it
easier. Actually by folding clothes, we can save place and the most importance
is when we hold clothes and fold them neatly, I believe that we simultaneously
flow energy that will have a positive impact on clothing. If the clothes are
folded neatly, the fabric becomes tight and not wrinkled so that it is stronger
and looks perfect.
Third, Storing socks: treat your socks and stocking with
respect.
Never tie the stockings and never clot socks. Folding sock
is easy, if you agglomerate it, start by opening it. Put one sock on top of the
pair and follow the same principle as folding clothes. The important thing is
that the end of result must be rectangular –this is the key to folding. Stand up
your socks, just like clothes folded and you will be surprised at how little
space is needed compared to “clump of potatoes” version alias menggumpal.
Fourth, Storing books: puts all your books on the floor.
Just like we tidy up clothes, put all the books on the
floor, after the book have stacked on the floor. Take the book one by one and
decide to save or remove it. Of course the criteria are the book brings joy or
not when we touched. But when you touched make sure you don’t read the book,
because if you read the book you just end up think you need this book or not. So
just touched not read it
Fifth, Sorting papers: rule of thumb-discard everything.
After tidying up the book next is tidying up the paper. The principle
for sorting papers is to throw it all of them. The point is, paper will never generate
excitement, no matter how carefully you save it. Therefore, I recommend that
you discard anything that does not belong three categories: still in use,
needed for a certain period of time, or must be stored until forever. The tips
is keep all such paper in one place. Don’t let the papers scatter in other
areas of the house.
Sixth, Reduce until you reach the point where something clicks.
In the process of fixing you house and reducing items, you
will see what really matters to you and what is most important to your life. However,
don’t focus on reducing it yourself or on the most efficient storage method. Focus
your attention on choosing items that generate excitement and to enjoy your
life based your own standard. If you haven’t felt the “right” thing like that,
don’t worry. That is, you can still reduce it. Complete the work with confidence
